What 'blue economy' means here
The blue economy covers anything that protects or sustains coastal and marine life and the livelihoods around it — cleanup, conservation, education, research, and supporting the people and small businesses tied to the water.
What Blue Impact funds will go toward
Two main paths. First, digital awareness content: short videos, explainers, and shareable materials that bring attention to Bahamian marine issues. Second, contributions to established blue-economy organizations: NGOs, nonprofits, research groups, or community initiatives already doing the work, where pooled funds can meaningfully support what they already have the resources to deliver.
How we'll choose where funds go
We'll prioritize Bahamas-based or Bahamas-focused organizations with a clear public footprint. After funds are passed on, we'll share the recipient and amount in the Transparency Ledger, not announce them ahead of time.
